Steve Lacy Hocus Pocus

from Heath Watts:

I want to get a copy of Steve Lacy's Hocus Pocus - Book 'H' of "Practitioners". Unfortunately, the CD is OOP. The MP3 files are available in on the UK on Amazon (see link), but Amazon will not let me buy the music, because I live in the U.S. Does anyone know how to get around this Amazon problem? Thanks!

Roscoe Mitchell - Nonaah

Hello

I wonder if anyone could help me? I need the music for Roscoe Mitchell's Nonaah (the solo part Mitchell played on alto)

I've been told the notes are printed on the sleeve of this original album

Be very grateful if someone could post them

Thanks

Invasion of the Undead

anyone logging on over the last few days will have noticed a bit of a leitmotif running thru recent posts, with a particular emphasis on online medications to cure erectile disfunction (something i've never had. Touch wood.).

Sorry about that. Normally, i weed these people out after around 6 hours, so they don't get to do much damage, but i've had swine flu like everyone else in the UK (quarter of a century of not eating them and the bastards give me flu. There's nothing so ungrateful as pigs...), and i've only risen, rather unsteadily, from my bed of pain this morning.

HELP -- Seeking Free Jazz artist with NO COMPOSITIONS...

Can anybody think of a free jazz artist who has NO compositions at all - no titles, no changes, no form, no meter, NO PRE-CONCEIVED CONCEPT before entering the mode of performance.

Just playing in the moment and then its gone forever. What a beautiful idea...

Late Trane had song titles, concepts... changes. What doesn't??

any thoughts???

Dick Bowman

Thought you'd like to know that Dick is no longer moderating freejazz.org: he felt it was time to move on, after five years at the helm (or thereabouts), although his words of wisdom will continue to adorn the site, i'm assured.

I imagine you'd like to join me in thanking him for all he's done for freejazz.org over those years.

Site Upgrade

I've just finished upgrading a number of site features. Probably you won't notice many of these, but I'm sure many will be happy that the Recent Comments links finally work properly for comments sections that extend over a page. Please let us know about any bugs you find so that we can get them fixed quickly. Thanks for being part of the freejazz.org community!

Freejazz.org sampler volume two

the original sampler thread has gone all messy, posts about the two volumes are all mixed up together, and not all the postings survived the transfer, so we're starting again here. the old thread can be read here.

if you're new to the site, the sampler is where the regular denizens of freejazz.org walk their walk: it pulls together tracks contributed by us, and presents them to the world www.freejazz.whi music.co.uk
